FINAL WORKSHOP – FEASIBILITY STUDY ON THE DEVELOPMENT OPPURTUNITIES OF webSCADA BASED PROCES CONTROL AND AUTOMATION SYSTEMS WITHIN THE OPERATIONAL AREA OF THE SEVEN KOSOVAN REGIONAL WATER UTILITIES COMPANIES
Hungarian Water Technology Corporation through the fund from the Western Balkans Green Center in cooperation with SHUKOS, organized on March 10, 2022 the Final Workshop on the Feasibility Study for the possibilities of equipping 7 RWCs in Kosovo with the automation and control system webSCADA.
The main purpose of the meeting was to inform the participants about the results of the Feasibility Studies and to inform the RWCs on the development of a Concept Note that will enable access to funds of the Hungarian Government for the Kosovo Water Sector.
The meeting was very interactive with very constructive and relevant questions, regarding the future implementation of the SCADA project.
The meeting was attended by a total of 18 participants, including the CEOs of RWCs, representatives from the Hungarian Embassy, the Inter-Ministerial Water Council, the Ministry of Economy and SHUKOS staff.
The development of the Project started in June 2021, while the Initial Workshop was held in August 2021. For six months the project implementation team has conducted field visits and have been in constant contact with the technical staff of 7 RWCs, as well as they held many meetings with high levelof RWCs.
From all this process, 7 Feasibility Studies have already been finalized, the Concept Note that includes 7 RWCs is in conclusion and intensive work is being done for providing of funds for all RWCs.
